The American Philatelic Society has announced the winners in its first Chapter and Affiliates Web Awards recognizing web site excellence.

A total of sixteen groups participated in this inaugural competition that was open to all APS chapter clubs, club or federation-run stamp shows and affiliates. Each site was evaluated in a variety of areas, including overall content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality and interactivity.

Of the sixteen entrants, only two received a Gold. The American First Day Cover Society’s site, www.AFDCS.org, was among the top award winners.

The AFDCS site was designed and is maintained by webmaster Todd Ronnei.
