Sine Selected as New First Days Editor
The American First Day Cover Society is pleased to announce that Dick Sine has been selected from a competitive field of qualified candidates as the new editor of First Days magazine. Sine
replaces four-year veteran editor Peter Martin.
Dick Sines' extensive 30 years of experience includes recent successes as editor of The Confederate Philatelist; and book pre-press production for U.S. Philatelic Classics Society, Universal
Postal Stationery Society, and Collectors Club of Chicago.
Sine has also edited several award-winning philatelic society and club periodicals including the American Philatelist and served as editorial director of Scott Publishing Company.
Dick Sine is the developer and webmaster of AskPhil.org and is currently developing an online course about first day covers for the AFDCS. He has previously developed a course for the
American Topical Association for AskPhil.org.
Sine is also the author of Stamp Collecting for Dummies and the reference, CD-ROM Encyclopedia of United States Postage Stamps.
Dick Sine will replace outgoing editor Peter Martin who, for four years, worked to raise First Days magazine to the level of quality that has made it a premier philatelic publication.
