- Ballots for the 2007 society elections were counted by AFDCS Chapter #26, Ft. Findlay Stamp Club. There were 182 valid ballots (vs. 235 in 2006, 129 in 2005, 213 in 2004, 238 in 2003, and 188 ballots in 2002). The five candidates receiving the most votes will serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2010.

- Congratulations to Eliot Landau for winning the Grand Award at AMERICOVER 2007 with his
exhibit, Franklin D. Roosevelt 1945-46 Memorial Issue. Charles J. O'Brien, III won the Reserve Grand Award with his exhibit The Georgia Bicentennial, 1733-1933. The complete Palmares for AMERICOVER 2007 are now available online.

- John Cali was presented with the AFDCS Glenn C. Michel Service Award at AMERICOVER 2007

- The USPS announced today that it will issue a 41¢ "Celebrate" stamp at AMERICOVER 2007
on August 17th in Stamford, CT. More details will follow when available.

- After nearly four years of using the same type of menu buttons on the website, your Webmaster
decided to update the look a little. It's not a big thing, but the new red menu buttons on the left hand side of each page are the most noticeable. The menu at the top each page has also been
changed to use a "tabbed" look. Let me know what you think, webmaster@afdcs.org.
- The cost of a 3-year foreign membership has been corrected to read $115. Your Webmaster apologizes for any inconvenience.

- Once again, the American First Day Cover Society, the world's oldest and largest non-profit organization for FDC collectors, has kept rates at the show hotel for its AMERICOVER 2007 show and convention under $100, at $99.
