Kendal Bevil has long been an active supporter of the AFDCS. In addition to designing a Court of Honor cachet and "thank you" cachets for our Society, Kendal has for many years donated one
cover to our auction for every issue he has made. Kendal has now taken on a very special project for our benefit. Beginning with the five issues below, he will make and donate a
unique "Bevil AFDCS Auction Variety" for each issue that he does. Each cover is numbered 1/1 and contains a special auction-hammer logo designed especially for this project. Each
cover is also customized with special artwork or descriptive wording in addition to distinctive coloring available only on the AFDCS Auction Variety -- truly unique covers that will be highly sought
after. Since any estimate of value would be speculative at this point, an arbitrary value of $300 has been used to assure a minimum bid of $75 under our auction rules. In future auctions the estimated
value will be based on the actual market value set here.
