Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and Cleveland Lakefront Attractions


On the lakefront you’ll have the option of visiting the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, (right) the Great Lakes Science Center, an OMNIMAX viewing or the steamship William G. Mather. The bus will pick everyone up for the return to the hotel, arriving at 5:15 p.m.

President’s Banquet and 2012 Cachet Award Winners

The main social event of the convention begins at 7:00 p.m. and runs until 10:00 p.m. – plenty of time to enjoy good company and good food. The event begins with a no-host cash bar and the annual 50/50 raffle ticket sales. Then you can enjoy the Cuyahoga Valley Buffet with your choice of three entrées:
Dinner includes a fresh market salad with a choice of dressing, assorted dinner rolls, seasonal vegetables, oven roasted Yukon gold potatoes and your choice of two desserts: New York cheesecake or chocolate raspberry cake. Iced tea and regular and decaffeinated coffee will also be served.

- Seared salmon with Kentucky bourbon and vanilla bean sauce
- Top sirloin of beef with a ragout sauce

Night Owl Party
Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. is your opportunity to buy FDCs directly from cachetmakers (No entrance fee).
After you browse and shop at the Night Owl bourse, stay up a little longer for a late-evening Night Owl party. Enjoy a variety of foods, including hamburger sliders, Swedish meatballs, pizza, spanakopita (spinach and feta wrapped in phyllo) and a large vegetable tray.

Dinner at Lockkeepers and Dan the Historian

After Americover is over, join your fellow FDCers for a five-star fine dining treat at Lockkeepers, one of Cleveland’s top restaurants. There, you can relax and enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal that features your choice of grilled Atlantic salmon, lasagna bolognese, chicken scalopinni or garganelli, shrimp, pesto and hear about Cleveland’s history from the popular Dan the Historian.
The event price includes the meal, gratuity, transportation from and to the hotel and entertainment. Our room is limited to 30 people, so register early to avoid disappointment.
